The International Sign Association (Alexandria, VA) has reported that 90 companies in 94 locations across the US and Canada opened their doors for the seventh annual Sign Manufacturing Day. Held on Oct. 4 this year, this event showcases the opportunities in the signage, graphics and visual communications fields for school-age, potential industry workers.

“This event is a wonderful ‘eye-opener’ for students to see what trades are still out there and how they can make a good living,” said Megan Cordial, human resources supervisor, D?Nite Sign Co. (Columbus, OH). Jane Mosey-Nicoletta, business development and community outreach professional with Ace Sign Company (Springfield, IL), added: “A number of the students from the local trade school submitted applications within a week of the event.”
