3M and Mutoh Form Spitfire Partnership

Commercial Graphics Europe and Mutoh Europe announce 3M’s MCS Warranty Program for Mutoh Spitfire Extreme Printers

Wide-format printer manufacturer Mutoh Europe nv (Oostende, Belgium) and 3M Commercial Graphics Division Europe today announced that they have joined forces.

3M has selected the Mutoh Spitfire Extreme 65-in and 90-in wide format inkjet printers to be part of its Matched Component System Graphics Warranty (MCS) when used in combination with the 3M’s mild-solvent Ink Series 600. This will allow print-for-pay businesses to produce graphics on a Spitfire Extreme printer. Five-year warranties are available, backed by 3M as a total solution provider.

The program will provide a system solution of inks, media, printers, software, training and service. Application possibilities include fleet and vehicle graphics, indoor and outdoor signs, including flexible signs.

The 3M EMEA local organizations will fully back up the graphics produced on the Spitfire Extreme printer, the Mutoh local EMEA authorized reseller channel will fully support the Spitfire Extreme printer series, i.e. sales and installation of printers, user trainings and after sales support service, says Arthur Vanhoutte, managing director for Mutoh Europe.

Full implementation of the program is scheduled for this summer.
