3M Commercial Solutions (St. Paul, MN) has announced its Wrap2Wrap competition, which is open to all U.S. users (except Maryland residents) of its 3M Wrap Film Series 1080. Those interested in participating in the contest may visit go.3m.com/wrap2wrap to learn the rules and submit entries. Through September 23, shops may submit entries, which will be subjected to “knock-out” votes. Those interesting in voting in the competition may visit the same site. 3M Commercial Solutions’ Facebook page also provides updates about the contest.

From this opening round, 16 quarterfinalists will be determined, and the winners, which will advance to the semifinal round, will be judged from September 25 to October 6. The four semifinalists will be pared down to two finalists during online voting from October 7 through October 13. The final contests will vie for the championship in a head-to-head competition on November 6 at the Specialty Equipment Market Assn. (SEMA) tradeshow in Las Vegas. A panel of industry and celebrity judges will determine the champion; they include Rutledge Wood, co-host of History Channel’s Top Gear; Jessi Combs, hot of Velocity Channel’s All Girls Garage; Mike Forsythe from Vossen Wheels; David Zuckerberg from Rides Magazine; Pirelli Tires’ Rafael Navarro; Knifeless Tech Systems’ Phil Acquin; and 3M Authorized Installation Trainer Adam Summer.
