The CARES Act

The federal government’s recent relief package, the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, is making $2.2 trillion in support available to individuals and businesses adversely affected by the pandemic.

Business Continuity Resource Center

The International Sign Association has added a page to its website including information on state and federal assistance, the Families First Coronavirus Response Act, and whether or not sign companies qualify as essential businesses.

The Families First Coronavirus Response Act

The FFCRA requires certain employers to provide their employees with paid sick leave or expanded family and medical leave for specified reasons related to COVID-19, effective through December 31, 2020.

Small Business Administration Resources

The SBA’s website features a page dedicated to various resources available to small businesses, including CARES Act funding options, the Paycheck Protection Program, the Economic Injury Disaster Loan Emergency Advance program, federal safety guidelines, local assistance, government contracting and more.

OSHA Guidance on Preparing Workplaces

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration has published guidelines (though not legal standards, regulations or obligations) for making workplaces as safe as possible from, and to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
