The Los Angeles of Anaheim have dedicated new signage at their home ballpark to commemorate pitcher Tyler Skaggs, who passed away in July at the age of 27. Twelve days after Skaggs’ death, the Angels threw a combined no-hitter, the state of California’s first combined “no-no” since July 13, 1991 – the day Skaggs was born. Before the no-hitter, the ceremonial first pitch was thrown out by Skaggs’ mother, and each Angels player wore a replica of Skaggs’ No. 45 jersey.
