A Sign that Summer Is Here

An amusement park’s amusing signage

With its growing number of attractions, Cleveland has, not surprisingly, been voted the second best city for recreation by Places Rated Almanac. And, Partners for Livable Communities, a Washington D.C.-based, nonprofit organization committed to improving community well-being, voted Cleveland as one of four best cities to live in America.

Befittingly named "The New American City," Cleveland is home to several must-see places for music enthusiasts, science buffs, sports fanatics and thrill-ride seekers. In addition to the nearly seven-year-old, Rock-and-Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, Cleveland is home to the Great Lakes Science Center; University Circle cultural, medical and educational district; Gund Arena; Cleveland Browns Stadium; Jacobs Field; and Six Flags Worlds of Adventure theme park. Due to its proximity, Cedar Point amusement park/resort is also included on Cleveland visitors’ "Top 10" list.

Although its many high-profile attractions are a must-see for the city’s numerous visitors, so is the eye-appealing and functional signage that meshes with Cleveland’s tourist-spot environments.

All the images featured here are a sampling of the colorful and whimsical sign components that distinguish the new Six Flags Worlds of Adventure thrill-ride, water and sealife park.
