ABC Imaging, a Washington, DC-based printing and document-technology company, has acquired Graphic Reproduction (Concord, CA). Founded in 1959, Graphic Reproduction has furnished digital printing and reprographic services.
“We are pleased to have the opportunity to be the new owners of Graphic Reproduction,” said Medi Falsafi, ABC Imaging’s president and CEO. “Our two companies are very similar—we both value quality and we both want to provide our customers the best possible service with every job.”
The acquisition adds three production hubs to ABC Imaging in the San Francisco area. The largest graphic-reproduction location, in Concord, CA, includes extensive production capability. The facility can print a full range of products using small, large, and wide-format digital printers; 3-D printers; and specialty-printing and graphic-arts equipment.
In the early ’90s, Graphic Reproduction added laser plotters, the precursor to today’s large-format digital printers, to its production department. Another milestone occurred in 2008, when Mr. Walker purchased a 3-D printer for modeling and rapid prototyping, making Graphic Reproduction the first printing company in the Bay Area to own this technology.
Graphic Reproduction has an extensive fleet of delivery vehicles, which enables them to provide service beyond the Bay area to Sacramento, Stockton, and other major cities in Northern California. They have equipped their vehicles with automated GPS software to monitor and improve deliveries.
