IN THIS EPISODE Eric speaks with Alan Hubbard, owner and sign guy of Pro Image Design in Traverse City, MI. We talk about how Alan got into the sign industry — “by accident” — how he started his business in 1997 and ultimately grew it into three locations.

Starting part-time out of his basement three decades ago, Alan learned an early lesson about leasing equipment. 25 years ago, he went full time. Alan likes the variety of jobs the sign industry offers and he feels he’s never doing the same thing twice.

Find out what Alan is doing to attract young employees, four of whom are currently working at Pro Image Design. He’s also starting up a specialty fabrication shop soon. Find out how he’s doing it all.
