p>AlphaGraphics Inc. (Salt Lake City), a network of independently owned business centers, has announced plans to expand into Brazil, which has a strong financial market with significant consumer confidence.

“Brazil and its economy are standing strong amidst the current global economic struggles, and we feel confident that our business model will continue to thrive and prosper there,” said Rodrigo Abreu, AlphaGraphics’ international director. “As companies and industries grow in the country, we expect the wide range of business solutions offered by AlphaGraphics to be in high demand.”

In 2005, the company had five business centers in Brazil, in São Paulo and Rio. The centers recorded $23 million in sales that year, paving the ground for additional AlphaGraphics locations. Currently, the company operates 17 business centers across nine cities in Brazil. These operations are projected to contribute $45 million in sales to the brand's revenue for 2009.

“Our goal is to establish a total of 30 business centers across Brazil by the year 2011,” noted Sharon Cook, Alpha Graphics’ director of marketing and public relations. “Once this benchmark has been achieved, we plan to proceed with securing an additional 30 locations for a total of 60 Brazilian-based AlphaGraphics business centers by 2014.”

AlphaGraphics is also investing in such new technologies as QR Code, augmented Reality and geotagging, all of which have the ability to load business materials with real-time information, which impacts the distribution of documents and marketing materials by allowing the end-user to have an interactive experience between paper and the Internet.

With more than 260 independently owned and operated business centers located in the United States, Brazil, China, Cyprus, Hong Kong, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom, AlphaGraphics is focused on leveraging communications technologies to provide its clients with complete solutions for their marketing-communications and document-management needs. The company provides a full range of solutions for design; digital, offset and large-format printing; marketing communications; promotional products; digital archiving and mailing services.
