Attention NY State Sign Designers and Fabricators: Help Needed!

Hotel desperately needs new program

Published

I won’t lie; I sorely miss our Ugly Sign Contest. As the realities of modern media slowly extracted pages from our print edition, it became a casualty because we made room for more essential topics.

However, we’ve always got our eye out for erroneous signage. I owe thanks for these photos to Jon Mullins, a high-school classmate of mine who happened to take photos of this hotel in Dunkirk, NY (we’ll keep it anonymous), a town near Buffalo in northwest New York State , with a pair of misguided signs.

If you’re a sign designer or fabricator near Dunkirk, please help this property help itself with proper signage.
