Avago Technologies (Böblingen, Germany), a supplier of analog-interface components for communications, industrial and consumer applications, is offering cyan-colored high-power LEDs optimized for traffic signals. The ASMT-JC11 and ASMT-AC00 1W LEDs offer high lumen output and energy efficiency in small-footprint packages that boost design flexibility for traffic signals, sign backlighting, and architectural, commercial and decorative-lighting applications.
The ASMT-JC11 device’s six-leaded small-outline package’s 5 x 4 x 1.85mm footprint addresses space-constraint issues. Both devices can withstand maximum current of up to 500mA to provide high-flux output performance of 58 lumens at 350mA.
“Our new cyan 1-Watt LEDs position Avago to address the fast-moving transition from traffic signals using incandescent bulbs to more efficient, durable signals based on high-power LEDs,” said Francis Khor, director of marketing for the Optoelectronics Product Division at Avago. Samples and production quantities are available now through Avago’s direct sales channel and worldwide-distribution partners.
