Canon Announces POWERsync+ Controller Upgrade

Canon U.S.A. (Melville, NY) has launched the POWERsync+ Controller Upgrade, a new solution that elevates the performance, security features and sustainability of eligible ColorWave and PlotWave printers, according to a press release.

By upgrading to the POWERsync+ Controller, users can significantly increase the performance of their current printer through T-series capabilities such as faster processing speeds, increased memory capacity and advanced IT security features that protect against cyber threats. Job submission, job storage and user authentication are available directly from the printer’s control panel.

The upgrade also includes Microsoft Security patch support until 2032, which helps to extend the printer’s lifetime. It helps ensure that existing ColorWave and PlotWave devices remain reliable and efficient while reducing the environmental impact of manufacturing new units and minimizing waste. It also ensures full compatibility with existing stackers and scanners.
