Continental Grafix (Estes Park, CO) is debuting evolon® by HydroSol 365SSE, a nonwoven, polyester material that lays flat but mimics fabric’s texture, but lays flat. The substrate, which may be sown and grommeted, is designed for roll-up graphics or hanging banners, is fire-retardant, and according to the company, won’t fray. Evolon is printable with solvent, eco-solvent, UV-cure and latex inks. The 14-mil material is sold in 36- or 60-in.-wide, 100-ft.-long rolls.

The company is also introducing HydroSol 205STLR LightBlock, an 8-mil, satin-finish material with a blockout layer that’s printable with solvent, eco-solvent, UV-cure and latex inks, doesn’t require lamination and contains a base layer made with 30% post-consumer-recycled polyester.
