Architectural element, plus another video display, will be added behind right centerfield

Daktronics Inc. (Brookings, SD), in conjunction with the Minnesota Twins and Populous, will add an illuminated tower and a second, large, video display at Target Field. Next season, fans will see the 100-ft. tower, populated with Daktronics ProPixel LED lighting strips, behind right centerfield. The same LED technology will be used toward the top of the tower to display the time as a digital clock.
A second, 28 x 50-ft. LED videoscreen will be positioned above right centerfield within the existing structure behind the rightfield seats. This display will allow fans who sit in front of the main, leftfield scoreboard to easily see video replays and other content without looking backward at the main videoboard. Daktronics will also provide four, 14 x 24-ft., backlit panels to recognize corporate sponsors.
Content on the new LED displays will be controlled through the existing, integrated Daktronics control system, which incorporates the company’s new Show Control system.
