Daktronics Enters Patent License Agreement With Cree LED

Daktronics (Brookings, SD) has entered a multi-year, global patent license agreement with Cree LED, a Penguin Solutions brand, according to a press release.

Effective December 2024, the agreement licenses Daktronics to use Cree LED’s patented technology with limited exceptions. While specific licensing terms remain confidential, the agreement allows Daktronics to continue supplying customers with advanced LED display systems and ensures no patent disputes arise between the two parties for its duration — per the release.
