Daktronics Screens Celebrates GoVision’s New Headquarters

GoVision (Argyle, TX), which has provided grand-format LED screens for huge events, from Presidential inauguration to NCAA Final Fours, used virtually all of that equipment – including “GoBigger,” perhaps the world’s largest, truly high-definition mobile video screen – to celebrate the opening of its new headquarters in Argyle. The event was presented by Daktronics (GoVision boasts the world’s largest inventory of Daktronics PST-12HD equipment).
Virtually all of that equipment – including “GoBigger,” the world’s first and largest truly high-definition mobile video screen – was on display inside and outside of GoVision’s headquarters. The biggest screens provided larger-than-life views of a local cover band fronted by popular sports radio personality George Dunham, while revelers dined on a Texas-sized barbeque buffet. The Sunday night clash between the Dallas Cowboys and Washington Redskins was carried on “GoBigger” and twin “GoBig” units.
Also featured prominently was a demo of Daktronics’ new PST-6i-b high-resolution 6mm display, which boasts a black display face for sharp images. The fan-less, noise-free display is suitable for premier indoor events.
Additional screens ran promotional footage featuring GoVision, Daktronics and other companies that supported the festivities.
GoVision moved into its 50,000-sq.-ft. warehouse and office space in February, but the transition to the new facility and a packed schedule left little time for partying. Eventually, GoVision CEO Chris Curtis decided to clear the calendar for Sunday, September 12, to officially mark the company’s important milestone, as well as to thank the customers, vendors, partners, employees and family members who have contributed to GoVision’s success since its founding in 2002.
“We’ve been blessed with so much for so long, it was important to me to recognize the people who have been so instrumental in getting us where we are today,” Curtis said.
“The Cowboys could have ended the evening on a higher note, but other than that, it was a wonderful event,” said Joni Diekmann, Daktronics’ director of Mobile & Modular Marketing, who traveled from South Dakota for the soiree. “GoVision takes great pride in providing the best for their customers and we are honored to have them as a longstanding Daktronics rental partner. We are fortunate to have built a strong relationship with the GoVision team over the years, and wish them many more years of great success.”
