DCS and MUTOH America to Collaborate on ADA-Braille Signage

The two UV-LED printer manufacturers struck a marketing and distribution agreement.

MUTOH America, Inc. (Phoenix) and Direct Color Systems (DCS; Rocky Hill, CT) have announced a collaboration between the companies.

In a statement from Mutoh, Tom Kaplinski, president of DCS, said, “Under the terms of this collaboration, Mutoh America has full authorization to market, distribute and sell their full line of Mutoh branded UV-LED printers for producing ADA-compliant Braille signage. This collaboration recognizes the importance of DCS intellectual property relating to technology for producing ADA-compliant Braille signage and enables Mutoh to promote and sell their own line of printing equipment through their distribution channels and to their end-users.”

Also in the statement, Brian Phipps, president and GM of Mutoh America stated, “I look forward to our joint collaboration efforts with DCS and continuing to bring Mutoh’s innovative UV technologies to the industry.”
