Digital Signage Company Makes 5th Acquisition in 2 Years

The deal adds 35,000 screens to the firm’s footprint.

Spectrio (Tampa, FL), a provider of digital signage software and other marketing solutions, has acquired Ping HD (Denver).

Ping HD specializes in digital menu boards, video walls, live video feeds, interactive kiosks and other digital signage for sports and entertainment brands. Its work can be found at many professional baseball, football and hockey stadiums throughout the country.

The deal adds 35,000 screens to Spectrio’s digital signage footprint and marks the company’s first acquisition of 2022. Terms were not disclosed.

Under the direction of CEO Dax Brady-Sheehan, Spectrio is rapidly expanding its portfolio. The company has acquired Automotive Broadcasting Network (Jacksonville, FL); Enplug (Culver City, CA); ScreenScape (Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island); and Industry Weapon (Pittsburgh, PA) during the last two calendar years.

Spectrio itself was acquired by The Jordan Company, a private equity firm, in December 2020.
