Splash of Color (Richardson, TX) is rolling out its HeatWave DFP-104, a 104-in., direct-to-fabric printer. Based on Roland’s HeatWave sublimation technology, the printer features six advanced piezo printheads, Roland’s Precision Firing Pattern™, and prints up to 337 sq. ft./hr. A heated calendar system, equipped with an infrared thermometer, heats consistently across the entire bed.

The system features two precision stepping motors, media-handling components that ensure precise movements. The heated calendar design monitors the heating process so that images subliminate quickly and evenly. The bulk ink system has 1-liter reservoirs. The four-color ink configuration, CCMMYK, can be refigured for six colors.
