Dynamic Digital Place-based Advertising Grew 13% in 2013

Overall, advertising grew by less than 1%



The Digital Place-Based Adv. Assn. (DPAA) cited data from Miller, Kaplan, Arase showing annual ad-revenue growth of 13% in 2013, according to a report in Out of Home Weekly. Research from Kantor Media notes only a 0.9% growth last year for the entire U.S. ad industry.

For this year, MyersBizNet forecasts a 12.6% gain projected for digital place based media with ad revenues of $1.07 billion. Digital place-based media is defined as networked, digital video screens containing programming and advertising, that reaches consumers on their daily journeys in places where they dwell.
