SALES Jess Otte, Fastsigns of Columbus (Columbus, IN), will look at sales for 2024 and create goals for 2025 with his sales reps. He’ll also examine dormant accounts and create plans for pulling them back in.

INVENTORY Tons of sign pros are doing inventory counts this month, including John Little, LittlesLogos (Winston – Salem, NC), and Jasper Burton, Cuerden Sign Co. (Conway, AR).

DEC. 8-14

MANAGEMENT Just as many shops set or finalize goals for 2025. “We do this every December,” says Gary Gower Jr., G&L’s Sign Factory (Bethlehem, PA). “We use a dry-erase quarterly/yearly goal board.” Across the country, Don Budde, CalComp Graphic Solutions (Cypress, CA), will also confirm his 2025 plans and budget.

DEC. 15-21

EMPLOYEES Dave Hostios, Trav-Ad Signs (Huntsville, AL), has end-of-year employee reviews on his list, as does Jonathon Yasko, North American Signs (South Bend, IN). “Hire installers” makes the docket for Andrew Akers, Image360 DC-Silver Spring (Kensington, MD).

ORGANIZING End-of-year shop organization seems like a good task for Christmas week. Kurt Stoner, Stoner Graphix (Hummelstown, PA), is one of several Brain Squad members with this on his list. Just an hour down I-83, Doug Bray, Alpine Sign & Lighting (Dallastown, PA), will use the time to “start reorganizing the entire company.”

SCHEDULE “We close the week from Christmas to New Years to give our employees a much deserved break,” says Joe Gibson, Ramsay Signs (Portland, OR). Bravo!

DEC. 29-JAN. 4

VACATION Dennis Schaub, FastTrack Signs (Bellefontaine, OH), aims to take it easy. “The high stress pace doesn’t seem worth it all lately,” he says. Robert Burke, Burke Enterprise (Oakdale, CT), is angling a bit more permanent, to “get this company sold so I can retire and play with my grandkids.” For help selling your company, check the many posts at signsofthetimes. com/fargo.
