New printheads expand 512-jet line

FUJIFILM Dimatix Inc. (Santa Clara, CA) is expanding its Spectra Polaris line of printheads with three, new, 512-jet, binary models. The additions to this general-purpose line — the PQ-512/15 AAA-2C, PQ-512/35 AAA-2C and PQ-512/85 AAA-2C — support aqueous, UV-curable and organic solvent inks.

While the Spectra Polaris line also features 200-dpi models, its newest additions are arrayed at 100 dpi. The company says the new printheads will help sign manufacturers tackle design issues such as printhead-to-printhead registration and orientation, color capability, and temperature control and replacement strategy.
