Gilman Brothers (Gilman, CT) is debuting Eaglecell™, a recyclable alternative to plastic, metal and wood. According to the company, the substrate has a proprietary, open-core design that’s engineered with 95% open space, which makes it lightweight, yet reportedly able to provide I-beam strength. The dent-resistant material contains SFI-certified paper liners, and is designed for interior signage, exhibit graphics and POP. According to the company, the surface-liner materials deliver consistent and whiteness and an optimal printing surface within Gilman Brother’s ColorOne™ system designed to optimize image quality across its varied materials. The company offers Eaglecell is ¼-, ½-, ¾- and 2-in.-thick boards in all-white and white/kraft/white combinations, and in 4 x 8-ft. stock panels, or custom sizes up to 12 x 16 ft.
