6-12 National Influenza Vaccination Week is observed DECEMBER 6-12 as a reminder to stay protected from COVID’s forebearer of a century ago. If you haven’t already taken your vaccination shot, it’s not too late.

13 marks the 386th Birthday of the Us National Guard. Yep, you read that right, not a typo. Established in 1636, the National Guard is the oldest military organization in America.

18-26 Hanukkah, the Jewish Festival of Rededication (also called the Festival of Lights) is celebrated DECEMBER 18-26 this year — and by the way, is also much older than the US National Guard.

26-1 Last in the month, but certainly not least, Kwanzaa, the African-American and Pan-African cultural holiday celebrating family and community, is DECEMBER 26-JANUARY 1. Whatever you celebrate this holiday season, we hope it is a joyous one for everyone.
