Advanced Sign (Meridian, ID) has purchased Artsign Design (Boise, ID), forming a company with 70 employees that will move into a new production facility this summer, Boise Dev reports.

The acquisition will enable Advanced Sign to offer services it hadn’t previously, including vehicle wrapping and screen printing, which are two specialty areas of Artsign Design.

“Through a variety of circumstances, I have decided to sell the business now to Advanced Sign, but I won’t be retiring,” Artsign Design owner Jennifer Boyd wrote in a blog post to clients. “I am bringing my team as well. … You will still be working with me as a point of contact and I am excited to start the next leg of my journey.”

Spencer Hill is the CEO and owner of Advanced Sign, which launched in 1986. The company also owns two internet brands – Woodland Manufacturing and CraftCuts – that sell custom letters.

Artsign Design was founded in 1960 and later purchased by Gary Hall. Boyd became the owner in 2014. In Signs of the Times’ November 2021 issue, she was the subject of a Sign Confidential feature.
