The International Sign Association (ISA; Alexandria, VA) has named Ryan Strowger as its new vice president of tradeshows and meetings, according to a press release.

Strowger previously served as chief events and corporate engagement officer at Optica, the New York-based society for the science of optics. He led Optica’s conference programming, event logistics and marketing, corporate membership, sales and sponsorship responsibilities, overseeing up to 30 topical conferences and major exhibitions for the organization. He will join ISA full time in June.

“ISA has a solid reputation for putting on terrific events, but that does not fully convey just what an amazing experience ISA International Sign Expo is. I was so pleased to see a vibrant show fostering an engaged community. I look forward to helping ISA, ISA Sign Expo and the sign, graphics and visual communications industry grow through events,” Strowger is quoted in the release. He recently attended the 2024 ISA International Sign Expo in Orlando, FL.

“We are thrilled to have Ryan join ISA as we begin planning for ISA International Sign Expo 2025,” ISA President and CEO Lori Anderson is quoted in the release. “He brings significant tradeshow experience and a fresh eye to ISA International Sign Expo. He will help us capitalize on the momentum coming out of a dynamic and energetic 2024 so that next year will be even more amazing.”

The next ISA International Sign Expo will take place April 23-25 in Las Vegas. For more information, visit signs.org.
