JDS Industries (Sioux Falls, SD) has announced that through their collective efforts, the company raised over $100,000 to support various organizations through the United Way, to help meet the needs of economically disadvantaged individuals in their community, according to a press release.

“In a time when many are facing financial challenges and charitable donations are on the decline, we came together with a strong spirit of generosity,” reads a portion of the release. “We are incredibly proud to have surpassed our contribution goal for the year and had 93% employee participation.”

Along with staff pledges, the departments contributed specially created gift baskets that were raffled off, and company-sponsored prizes were awarded to both first-time and returning donors.

Furthermore, CEO Scott Sletten and President Mike May hosted a special appreciation luncheon for Rising Heart/Heart Club members (those who donated $250 or more) at one of Sioux Falls’ finest restaurants.
