Kett Tool Co. (Cincinnati) is debuting the KS-426 panel saw, which enables fabricators to cut plastic, strip aluminum and steel-clad cable, and cut sheet material with the same tool, the company states. The equipment features a depth stop that allows the user to set the saw blades to penetrate cable sheathing, but not the cable itself. The saw includes a 2,500-rpm, 5-amp, variable-speed motor, which enables processing of rigid materials up to ¼ in. thick, aluminum up to 1/8 in. thick, and cold-rolled, mild steel up to 16-gauge. The saw uses 1.75- to 2-in.-diameter blades, which allow users to cut within ½ in. of a side wall.
