Kongsberg Precision Cutting Systems (Kongsberg PCS; Ghent, Belgium) has released new software specifically developed to make it even easier for users to harness the power and precision of the company’s digital cutting equipment, according to a press release from Kongsberg, which is also the parent company of MultiCam.

The new iPC (i-cut Production Console) version 2.6 includes many new features and upgrades, making the integrated software solution that comes as standard with Kongsberg cutting tables the only production software that users need.

“The iPC’s intuitive user interface was designed to enable straightforward and efficient operation for all users,” Koen Van Reybroeck, Kongsberg PCS product manager, is quoted in the release. “It enables users to import and automatically set-up files, customize production runs, calibrate tools and save settings … set up standard production workflows, create simple designs and layouts, and run production manually or fully automated.”

Among the new features are the following:

  • New iPC Prep Station
  • Updated iPC job list
  • Improved batch production
  • On the fly estimation of open jobs
  • Print preview for JDF files
  • Windows 11 support
  • Kongsberg Connect HUB V1.0
