Mactac REBEL X-treme Permanent Print Media

Mactac® Distributor Products (Stow, OH) is offering REBEL X-treme (RB528X), a 4.0-mil media that features a specially blended, clear pressure-sensitive adhesive designed to permanently bond to rough adhesion applications, such as low-surface energy plastics, smooth to slightly rough indoor and outdoor concrete surfaces or cinder block walls, and in critical permanent applications that may require tamper resistance.

It provides high-tack adhesion with 7-lb. quick tacks and reaches up to 10-lb. peel in bond strength on typical surfaces. The adhesive is protected with Mactac’s 90# polycoated two-sided SuperFlat™ release liner and the media’s facestock features a 99 percent opaque, blue-white PVC film – delivering incredibly high levels of color and brightness when printed. Examples of product uses include concrete support pillars or cinder block walls; low-surface energy plastics like polypropylene, polyethylene and acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS); pebbled surfaces such as trash cans and storage bins; powdercoated paint; and stainless steel nameplates.

Rebel X-treme’s is compatible with latex, UV inkjet, solvent, eco-solvent, solvent and UV screen printing, UV flexographic and UV off-set, as well as thermal transfer. It features an outdoor durability of five to seven years with a two-year shelf life. Additionally, all Rebel products, including X-treme, are backed by Mactac’s trusted Open Image Warranty™, which includes any combination of approved printer, ink and laminate or clear coat used with Mactac graphic media.
