Choose eco-solvent signmaking or water-based fabric sublimation inks.

Mimaki (Suwanee, GA) is releasing its JV300-130/160 line of eco-solvent, inkjet printers with printheads that image with either eco-solvent or water-based sublimation inks. Mimaki says the printers produce outdoor signage, posters, interior décor and vehicle graphics. The eco-solvent inks comprise Mimaki’s SS21 CMYK, light cyan, light magenta and white inks, with options for Mimaki’s gamut-extending orange and light-black inks. The newly developed SS21 orange ink, a process color, helps the possible ink applications closely match (92%) of the Pantone™ color chart, the company states. The printers’ can also apply dense white inks that produce opacity on transparent or opaque, dark materials.
In addition, the JV300 can apply Mimaki’s Sb53 water-based sublimation inks for printing on polyester apparel fabric (sports uniforms, swimsuits and soft-signage textiles, for example). Mimaki says its light-black inks and grey-balance control produce accurate grayscale printing sans color shifts.
