MUTOH America (Phoenix) announces that three of its ink lines are now compliant with US toy safety regulations, including the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) and California Proposition 65, according to a press release.

The regulation compliance of the US-11, UH-21 and MP-31 ink lines means toy manufacturers, educational product creators and medical facilities can safely use Mutoh printers and inks to produce goods for children and sensitive environments. While not a formal certification, the inks meet the chemical content requirements outlined in both CPSIA and Prop 65, helping manufacturers remain compliant with federal and California-specific regulations.

“These specific MUTOH inks represent our commitment to safety, innovation and market adaptability,” Brian Phipps, president of Mutoh America, is quoted in the release. “By ensuring our inks meet these standards, we’re opening up new possibilities for clients serving industries where safety and compliance are paramount.”

Unlike other certifications for specific applications, this compliance applies to the ink formulations themselves, giving manufacturers more flexibility in how they incorporate Mutoh solutions into their workflows.
