8 Daylight Saving Time begins — yay! — on MARCH 8 in the US. No, not a typo, it’s “saving” not “savings.” Also, the same way a broken clock is right twice a day, people who automatically use EDT for “Eastern Time,” for example, will be right again. The “D” is for “Daylight,” y’all!

14 If MARCH 14 is your birth anniversary, you share it with iconic actor Michael Caine’s Birthday. “Not a lot of people know that” is a catch-phrase famously attributed to Caine, but one he did not start. “You were only supposed to blow the bloody doors off!” is one he did say.

19 National Certified Nurses Day on MARCH 19 celebrates the health professionals who impact lives every day. As someone who personally cannot bear to be around sick people, all deserved praise to those who treat the ill and injured, often during lengthy shifts. Respect.

24 On MARCH 24, yes, a Tuesday, celebrate National Cocktail Day — presumably after the end of your workday. Preferably paid for by the boss. It’s as good a way as any to toast the welcome end of winter and ring in this fourth day of spring. Have fun and drink responsibly!
