The Cincinnati Bengals’ stadium soon could have new signs to go with its new name, according to a report today from The Cincinnati Enquirer.

“The displays will include huge floodlit signs atop the stadium’s two canopies, visible to cameras on drones or blimps televising games at the venue,” the article says.

The new signs are expected due to the sale of naming rights for the stadium, currently named for the Super Bowl LVI runner-up’s legendary owner, to Paycor. The city’s planning commission voted earlier today to approve plans for new signage standards at recently renamed Paycor Stadium.

“The name change still has to be approved by Hamilton County commissioners, since the county owns the stadium,” per the Enquirer report. The sign plans also have to be approved by the city council and county regional planning commission.

Plans call for a change to the signs on the outside of the stadium’s two scoreboards, as well as the addition of two large mesh signs for the east and west facades of the stadium, per the report. The plan includes a total of 12 signs.

“The planning commission voted to approve the proposal on the conditions that the signage be sized appropriately, illuminated according to industry standards, and not include any moving images or videos,” according to the outlet.
