METROPOLITAN WEST – a full-service glass film and wall graphics company located in Long Beach, California – and Gensler – an integrated architecture, design, planning, and consulting firm – worked with the NFL to install dynamic, metallic graphics at the NFL Los Angeles headquarters. “We had a close, collaborative relationship with the NFL Design team,” says Trever Hartung, project manager, Metropolitan West. To achieve the dramatic metallic look the NFL was going for, Metropolitan West sourced a metallic wallcovering instead of using metallic ink to achieve the desired effects. This media allowed for each individual graphic to have the very specific appearance the designers were looking for. Metropolitan West used a Roland VersaUV LEC2-640 large-format printer/cutter combined with CMYK+W+G inks to complete the installs onto Dreamscape Silver Flash highly reflective silver-chromed inkjet media, totaling close to 1500 square feet of wall graphics.
