Strip in pavement aims to prevent accidents

Osram Opto Semiconductors (Sunnyvale, CA) is announcing its Light Line pedestrian warning system. Light Line is a strip of LEDs placed in pavement near intersections and synched with traffic lights. The strip reinforces traffic signals and, the company says, helps prevent accidents that can occur when pedestrians unwittingly cross the street against traffic.
