Minor-league baseball teams are constantly for new ways to bring in revenue to bolster the finances of what are often shoestring operations. Urologists provide a valuable medical service, but are often stymied when attempting to advertise help for a very private problem. The two needs dovetailed nicely with this recent series of urinal graphics produced for mens’ room fixtures at Allentown, PA’s Coca-Cola Stadium, home of the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs, the Philadelphia Philles’ Triple-A affiliate.

Identity Graphics (Slatington, PA) completed the 41 signs, all of which feature humorous, baseball-related puns. The shop printed the job on 3M’s Controltac IJ180cv3-10 air-release media, which it decorated with a HP L25500 latex-ink printer. Identity Graphics contour-cut the prints on a Summa D160 plotter. To help the graphics withstand flush after flush, it laminated adhesive the job with 3M’s 8518 gloss laminate, which it coated on a Seal Base 62 pressure laminator.

It can only be hoped that this project creates a new flow of advertising revenue for the Iron Pigs, and that Urology Specialists gains of steady stream of new patients.
