MARKETING Torey Rouillon and National Branding (Troy, MI) have 50 kids coming to their shop for Sign MFG Day on Oct. 4 (see above). Stuart Stein and Stein Sign Display (Watertown, SD) are also participating. Meanwhile, Rita Siprak-Weill, Minuteman Press Annapolis (Annapolis, MD), will be pulling together stock sample books — “all the stocks we consider standard with one sheet imprinted to show how the print looks on that stock” — for good customers.

PRICING “We’ll evaluate and update our ‘generic vended pricing sheet,’” says Caleb Miller, Signarama Sugar Land (Stafford, TX). “This sheet goes out to all of our vendors/suppliers at the end of the year so they can turn over pricing that gets locked in for the following year. Listed items include 4 x 8 acrylic sheet, 4 x 8 ACM sheet, etc.”

FACILITY Jim Sutterfield reports Signs Plus Inc. (Bellingham, WA) recently completed new siding on the front of their building to match their branding. “Our commercial department still needs to remove the old graphics from the windows and replace them with new red perforated vinyl.” They’re finding it a challenge keeping up with production and simultaneously completing their own marketing makeover.
