Computer-to-screen system boosts efficiency, company reports

Richmond Graphic Products (Smithfield, RI) is presenting its DirectJet Pro screenprinter. Designed for small- to medium-sized textile printers, the computer-to-screen system reportedly saves half the prepress time required for conventional system. It also reduces up to 50% of exposure time by eliminating film, glass and vacuum, which makes retouching obsolete, the company states. Additional features include water-based, high-density ink, easy-to-use, Windows-based software, and resolution up to 120 lpi and 1,080 x 1,080 dpi.

Available models include RG-800M, which offers 42 x 51-in. screen size and 31 x 42-in. image size; RG-1200L, which provides 58 x 71 and 47 x 62 in. screen and image sizes, respectively; and RG-1600M, 70 x 80 and 65 x 68 in.; and RG-300L, 132 x 86 and 117 x 80 in.
