Roland DGA (Irvine, CA) has introduced its third generation of inkjets, the TrueVIS VG3 and SG3 series of large-format printer/cutters.

The TrueVIS printer/cutters were developed for range of applications, including signs and banners, window graphics, labels, decals, floor graphics, vehicle graphics, interior décor, heat-transfer apparel and more. Both series incorporate improvements based on feedback from previous generation TrueVIS users.

The TrueVIS VG3 and SG3 series feature Roland DG’s FlexFire print heads and are equipped with new 7-in. LCD touch-panel screens. Also, each printer/cutter comes with a redesigned take-up system that includes new features which aim to simplify setup and optimize workflow.

Additional new features include automated media calibration that uses TrueVIS optical registration technology to determine gaps, adjust, and calibrate; automated pinch rollers that raise during operation to avoid contact with printed graphics; and a perforated sheet cut option that automatically adds “easy tear” perforations to separate print jobs.

All VG3 and SG3 printer/cutters come bundled with VersaWorks 6.
