The TrueVIS MG Series UV printers/cutters by Roland DGA (Irvine, CA) now support One-Pass Multilayer Printing, allowing for the simultaneous printing of three ink layers, according to a press release.

Users of existing MG-300 and MG-640 machines can obtain this function for free by upgrading their firmware to version 1.60 or higher and installing version 6.18 of Roland DG VersaWorks 6 output software. The function is effective for printing large window displays and labels in great quantities.

“The addition of One-Pass Multilayer Printing for the MG Series further increases the functionality and efficiency of these advanced, easy-to-use machines, saving users time, effort and money,” UV Printer Product Manager Jay Roberts is quoted in the release.
