Select Roland Engravers Feature Apparel Design Software

Roland DGA Corporation (Irvine, CA) now includes its Roland R-Wear Studio software with select, EGX engravers at no extra charge for customers across North and South America. The R-Wear Studio software into an efficient, easy-to-use production device for premium rhinestone apparel applications.

Roland said its EGX engravers are precise, reliable and easy-to-use. They support applications ranging from engraved ADA signage to custom badges, nameplates, key rings, jewelry, gift items and glassware. When paired with R-Wear Studio, EGX engravers can create templates for rhinestone apparel and gift items.

R-Wear Studio allows users to create their own designs or import designs from a wide range of file formats including bmp, jpg, gif, png, and ai and eps for Adobe Illustrator 7 and 8. Within R-Wear Studio, users can generate stroke fonts for customized inscriptions featuring initials, names and messages. The software also features a large library of 500 hot-fix rhinestones that match the different colors, sizes and types available on the market. Costs are displayed for each job, making it easy to calculate profits and manage rhinestone inventories.

Roland engravers that include R-Wear Studio free of charge include the EGX-350 desktop engraver, the EGX PRO series (EGX-400/600) of benchtop engravers and the EGX-360 rotary gift engraver.

The EGX-360 rotary gift engraver creates complex designs on curved, cylindrical, domed, flat and irregular surfaces including glass, acrylics, woods, laminates and metals. The Roland EGX line also includes the entry level EGX-30A engraver which can be upgraded with R-Wear Studio at an additional cost of $499.

In addition to supporting the EGX line, R-Wear Studio can be purchased separately to support Roland’s GX series of vinyl cutters and VersaCAMM inkjet printer line, for custom apparel applications including heat transfers, vinyl lettering, decals, labels and more. .
