Selling Signs

Five tips for closing that sale

Published

on

Here are a few ideas for making your most common marketing tool — your business card — more effective.

Carry business cards with you at all times. Hand them out at events you attend and give them to people in organizations with which you’re involved. Provide them an incentive for referrals.

Use professional, eye-catching graphics on your cards. You’d use balanced design, borders, pictorials, etc. on your signage, so use them on your marketing materials too. And consult with a printing professional for specific advice.

Don’t waste the space on the back of your business card. In the space, you can:

1) list the benefits your signs can provide

2) list the products and services you offer

3) provide a map to your signshop

4) provide a coupon/special offer

5) relist the information from the front of your business card, but in another language, for your bilingual customers
