To promote workforce development in the sign industry, the Intl. Sign Assn. has designated Oct. 6 as Sign Manufacturing Day. During this event, participating businesses open their facilities to students to show the opportunities within the sign, graphics and visual communications industries. Last year, 40 companies participated in Sign Manufacturing Day – a derivative of Manufacturing Day, which is held on the same day – and educated over 3,000 students and community members.
