Turf of the Trades

Some years ago we were contracted to do some fabricated canopy numerals on a canopy face in Center City Philly. As our sheet metal union installer was trying to set up, he asked another tradesman to move his truck for access. The man stated he was an ironworker and owned any work on the canopy. After he walked away, a carpenter approached our installer stating they owned the canopy work. Our sheet metal guy told the carpenter that the ironworker said they owned the canopy and connected the two gentlemen. As they argued over ownership of the work, our man installed the numerals and got out of Dodge.
