The City of Lewiston is getting the hometown discount from Neokraft Signs (Lewiston, ME), which is donating eight 10-ft.-tall channel letters that spell out the name of Maine’s second-largest city, radio station WCYY reports.

The sign will be installed in Veterans Memorial Park, which will now be home to “one of the largest and most impressive freestanding signs in all of Maine,” the article says.

Neokraft is building the complimentary sign in tribute to its 75th anniversary, and also as a thank-you to its home city for helping establish and maintain its business over the decades.

The letter “N” has already been installed; the remaining letters will be installed prior to the Fourth of July weekend. The photos here are from Neokraft’s Facebook page.

In Signs of the Times‘ December 2021 issue, we highlighted three slick channel letter projects with tips on how to enter the market.
