Sihl Digital Imaging (Chesapeake, VA) is offering its 3579 Décor Brilliant™ 15-mil, matte-finish, canvas material. The media provides a bright-white, instant-dry coating designed for aqueous, inkjet printers, and, according to the company, offers a polyester-cotton ratio that provides opacity, strength and edge-cracking resistance. Sihl states Décor Brilliant enables maximum ink loading, rapid drying and optimal print quality and color gamut, and is compatible with water- and solvent-based, liquid laminates. The company offers the substrate in 24-, 36-, 42-, 50- and 60-in. widths and 40-ft.-long rolls.
The company is also offering Mirano™, a 9-mil, roll-up film that’s designed for POP and portable-banner displays. The material features a proprietary, “tri-laminate” construction and a SuperDry™ coating. The substrate comprises photo paper that’s fused on both sides with an inner, opaque polymer, which, according to Sihl, provides polyester’s performance at a lower cost. The company offers the material in 36- and 42-in. widths and 100-ft.-long rolls.
