Andres Imaging dresses up the American Girl stores

Published

on

American Girl, which sells historically themed dolls and books that are widely popular with preteen girls, has become a bit of a tourist destination. These days, for example, when a family visits the Big Apple, they’re just as expected to shop at American Girl as they are to visit the Statue of Liberty.

Andrés Imaging and Graphics (Chicago) used light, layering and bright colors to create this comforting, familiar signage at American Girl’s Atlanta location. This window display has a field of Avery Dennison 1005 EZ vinyl output on an EFI-VUTEk QS3200r, laminated with Avery’s DOL 1100. The vinyl is mounted to ½-in.-thick Ultra Board panels. The window’s icons and text are 13-mil Sintra® PVC-foamboard, printed directly from the QS3200r and pinned to the background.

The flagship stores’ (Los Angeles, NYC, Chicago) interiors also includes a lightbox covered in opaque, black vinyl. The images and colors that surround the lightbox use Avery 1005 EZ vinyl mounted to 1-in. box frames with Masonite composite-material faces.
