The Queen City Shines: An All-Star Game Sign Gallery

Cincinnati stands tall while hosting Midsummer Classic

The 2015 Major League Baseball All-Star Game brought its host city, Cincinnati, front and center to the sports world. As one of the smallest professional-sports cities in the U.S., the city encountered logistic challenges with staging days of events that celebrate the "Midsummer Classic."

Yet, as these signs prove, the city did a masterful job of coordinating and managing the festivities. Incidentally, the American League defeated the National League 6-3 in the contest. Cincinnati reveres baseball history — its hometown Reds are the oldest professional baseball team in existence — and there are few hardball fans more devoted than ST Editor/Publisher Wade Swormstedt. However, for us, the game, is of course, about the signs. This gallery represents the atmosphere signage around the stadium provided. Enjoy!
