Transfotec’s TFT Contactless System for LED Channel Letters

LED contactless system

|2341| (Saint-Eustache, PQ, Canada) has introduced the TFT LED Contactless System for LED channel-letter and architectural-lighting applications. The system comprises an LED Class II master power supply (LMPS-350 or LMPS-750) and a series of LED contactless modules (LCM), which are interconnected without physical electrical contact. A standard 14 AWG single-stranded wire loops through the LCM’s coils to transmit the energy electromagnetically.

The low-AC voltage requirement eliminates contact corrosion encountered by DC-powered systems. The system doesn’t require power-supply adjustment as a function of LED color or the LEDs/ft. ratio.

The contactless system offers three illumination levels, with different LED colors and two channel-letter depths. The LCM families comprise EconoBrite (comparable to 15mA neon), EquiBrite (comparable to 30mA neon) and MegaBrite (comparable to 60mA neon). The product is available in two optical geometries, wide angle for signs that are 3 in. deep or less, and narrow angle for signs that are 5 in. deep or more. The white- and red-color spectrum LED modules offer mixing capability and a predetermined pitch.
